There are various tricks that you can teach a dog. One of these very popular tricks would be to teach your dog to rollover. This trick would entail making your pet go round and round on the ground which would be very dizzy for the pet that is doing it.

There are a variety of ways that this can be done but I would just go through two of them with you. The key choice would be simplifying the whole thing at once hoping that the dog would catch on quickly. Regrettably, many pets have this problem and this is where the next option would come into play where the exercise is broken up into smaller section and then combined later on.

So here we go. Firstly, you will be instructing your pet to lie on the ground. You should say "down" with the front and hind legs firmly on the floor. Dogs that do not respond promptly will need some help and so you must gently push the part lower. You should then get your pet a treat as a reward for completing these tasks.

The next part is a combination of two tricks. Firstly, you will ensure that the animal stays put which is commonly known as "playing dead." You can accomplish this by having dog stomach and face flatly on the ground.

Thirdly, we will be making the pet roll on from the front to the back. There are many terms that can be used and the most common are "roll or show the back." However, only one should be used because you do not want to confuse the dog.

You should use your hands to initiate motion which the dog will learn eventually. Rub the belly of the dog or 'pet' it as a reward instead of just feeding it all the time as it completes the task.

Now that the pet was able to roll in one direction, it is time to do it for two or three times. The command to 'roll' must be repeated slowly so the canine will understand what needs to be done.

When your dog can do this, it is good to have this done also on the other. Some people have said that this is automatic already once the first three steps have been done but the rate in which the dog learns tricks varies.

Another exercise that may seem silly is lying on the ground and going through the motion in the hopes the dog will follow. Some owners have said that this works while others just do this for fun to see how it feels like being a dog.

If you are not successful on the first try, maybe there is something wrong in how it was delivered. So try again. If the advice is not fruitful, it's time to go pet store and buy a book or instructional video.
